Obviously, she had a bit different view on humor. She was laughing good and hard at his act, finding the whole prospect of acting like a total idiot with a water pump being pretty amusing. She was also a bit glad that she hadn't totally ruined their first meeting with her neurosies, nodding at him, raising her eyebrows. "I'm pretty sure, but I could be wrong," she gasped, eyes becoming wide in a playful fashion. "Just pull it and let's see," she giggled, smacking her bucket under the spout, waiting for the water to flood through the pipe. She was feeling pretty good all of a sudden - yet another mood swing.

Alonzo let a smile toy as his lips as Avery had bit of a mini laughing fit. Obviously she was the kind of girl who liked to laugh a lot. He did not know why, but that was not how he was, he barely laughed at all. He would chuckle quietly sometimes, but that was mostly it. And his smiles were small. Oh well, thats how it is. As Avery spoke, he let his lips curl up into his usual gentle, but faint smile. His blue-grey eyes watched as she pushed her bucket under the spout and flipped the handle up. [You better be right,] He said softly, just to say something. He did not want the whole thing to get awkward again.

She was still giggling, the weird girl, adding in a dramatic yelp as the water began to pour into the bucket. Sometimes, she acted like a giddy 14 year old, who was having a good time with her friends - this was one of those times, too. Her eyes were alight, the smile definitely not going to leave her face any time soon. She turned it off with a surprisingly strong push down on the lever, once both of their buckets were full. "I thought I was going to faint," she shook her head, giving him a 'we're both complete idiots, aren't we?' grin as she headed back to the main stable aisle.

Alonzo picked up the bucket and carried it up the aisle. He stopped at the first stall and stuck his head over the door to see if he needed more water. He needed a little bit more, so Alonzo filled his bucket up to the top. Then he went on to the next stall and filled that bucket, and so on until he ran out of water. Once he was out of water he joined Avery and walked down the aisle, walking awkwardly down next to her. [Still feel faint?] he teased lightly. [The water didn't scare you again or anything?]

"I only know one thing, and I'm staying away from that pump for a while," she shook her head dramatically. She was quite the actress, acting like the water pump was some possessed monster out to get her. Arriving at Mazaska's stall, she switched to yet another accent - this time being a more believable Australian one. "I'd stand back mate, he looks like a.." she stopped, standing back and biting her nail for a moment. She had no clue what to call him, so she just said "scary horse," like the dork she was. Entering his stall, and confirming that Mazaska wasn't going to trample them both to death, she waved him in, handing him a bucket of grooming tools. "You take that side," she smiled to him, pointing across his back to the left.

Alonzo chuckled softly, shaking his head. She should be in a soap opera or something, whatever those things were called. Or write one, or something. , he murmured softly, getting down the red bucket and taking the bucket of brushes Avery handed him. He shook his head. [Not a scary pony, just a goofball.] He patted the stallion's neck and came around to the side of the horse he had been instructed to clean. Taking out a curry comb he began to curry the stallion. Although he did like the horse, he did watch the stallion's mouth cautiously. After a few minutes he switched to a dandy brush and then a soft brush.

And magically, suddenly, it began raining in the barn. OK, not really - rain wasn't exactly Avery, sticking her fingers in Mazaska's water and flicking it across his back, to fall on Alonzo. So what if she was being a total dork, she was having a good time, and she always loved company. The only sound coming from her to signal that she was doing that - though it was obvious anyway - was a snort, attempting to stifle her laughter, which didn't last very long. She was snickering and giggling on the other side of Mazaska, leaning her head against his muscular gypsy vanner shoulder as she flicked more water across his back. She had no clue how he'd react to that, but she wasn't particularly caring.

Alonzo felt water droplets fall upon him. Knowing they came from Avery he looked up. [Oh look, it's raining. I didn't hear anything about rain in the weather forecast today.] Alonzo sighed and hesitated slightly, before dashing around the front of Mazaska, but careful not to startle him. He dashed out of the stall, grabbed his red bucket and stuck it under the spigot. He turned the spigot on and let the water flow down, dropping noisily into his bucket.

"What in the world?.." Avery muttered to herself, seeing him dash out of the stall like some madman. She had no clue what he was doing, hearing the water pump turn on and the liquid begin to flow into the bucket, but she really didn't care. Whatever it was, she figured it was just something he thought he needed to do - he didn't seem like a guy who really got into stupid antics like hers, truthfully. She settled herself into grooming Mazaska, and actually getting into it as he continued to get more water, running the curry over his already sleek coat.

When the bucket was half full Alonzo brought it back into the stall. He took the curry comb and soaked it with water. He pointed it up and over Mazaska's back and ran his thumb through the bristles. The water droplets on the rubber flew off, flying towards Avery. This was his kind of rain. He made it rain a few more times before putting the curry comb down and yawning. He glanced back down to the water bucket, thinking. Finally he took his hand and made a splash of water fly out of the bucket and under the horse, towards Avery's legs.

The water droplets, she was laughing at, but the rush of water on her legs - soaking the bottom of her jeans - made her squeal, startling Mazaska out of his slumber. She shivered, the cold gripping to her skin. It was already freezing enough outside, the snow covered landscape a beautiful - but freezing - environment. "You are so de.." she left off, fitting in a huge yawn as she wandered out of the stall. She was obviously getting tired, rubbing her eyes, and she'd like to maybe get back and get into her warm PJs, instead of wet jeans.

[Gotcha,] Alonzo said simply, displaying no emotion once more. He patted Mazasda and picked up the brushes and red bucket and came out of the stall. Once he closed the stall door he eyed the bottom of her jeans. Yeah, sure, he felt bad if he'd made her cold, but he refused to apologize for doing it. He spoke quietly. [Well, I'm sure you'll want to change now, so I'll be on my way I guess.] He put one arm around her and gave her a brief, awkward hug. Pulling away he let the faint smile return to his lips. [I'll see you around?] He asked quietly, then added [You can come over to APEC anytime if you want to see my colt, Cisco, if you want.]

"Yeah, of course. I'll be there," she laughed, giving him a friendly bear hug. She, once again, couldn't give a care if he appreciated that or not. If he was going to be one of her friends, he might as well expect things like that - she was fairly random. "I had a great time," she smiled, nodding still to his comment on visiting APEC. She'd visit, no doubt about it. She'd also love to see Cisco, the horse he spoke of.

Alonzo nodded and was pulled into a big bear hug. He accepted it, although awkwardly. He smiled faintly. [Yeah, it was good.] He then turned to go out to his truck, but stopped as if he forgot something. Which he had. I also work at C&C, Monday, Wednesday, Friday.] He said, again, a smile tugging at his lips. He then awkwardly waved good bye. [See you later.] Alonzo then stepped outside and opened the truck door. Waving once more he turned on the truck and pulled out of Avery's driveway and was on his way home

Walking into the warm stable, Ashlyn smiled as 10 beautiful heads looked over their stall gates. Searching the name plates for Talkeetna she smiled at rubbed each neck in turn. Finaly, she came upon the rouge stallion's stall. "Hey boy.." the horse willingly walked out of his stall and Ashlyn hooked him to the cross-ties in the isle. Leaning his muscalar neck into the rubber curry comb. It massaged up and down his painted neck and he stretched it out in pleasure. After the boby brush had finished flicking off the last strand hairs, she slid on a saddle and a thick pad. Talkeetna threw his head up in a loud protest and backed when she tried to slip the bridle over his head though. After a few attempts, she won and he was ready.

Regan walked into the barn. It was her first day working at OMF, and she was really excited. Searching the nameplates on the stall doors of the stallion barn, she spotted oyuskeya, the first horse on her list to train today. Reading over the print out she said, “humm, looks like me any you get to do some barrel racing”. Looking at her watch, she made a mental note of the time. She had come up with a time schedule in her head yesterday, making it where each horse she needed to train received 1hour of training time each, excluding Nuit which was her own horse. Opening the horses stall door slowly, he snorted at her and took a few steps back. Reaching in her pocket, she retrieved an apple treat and offered it to the stud. Slowly he sniffed her hand and started to relax as he munched on the treat. Regan decided that t-touch would be good for him, so she spent the next 15miuntes running her hands down his neck, shoulder, back, and hip. The stud was finally acting calme toward her so she went and retrieved his halter then lead him to the Round pen. (Continued in training: round pen)

Regan and oyuskeya walked back in to the barn, greeted by some of the other studs. Regan tied him up outside of his stall and proceeded to check his water and bedding. Seeing that it looked recently cleaned and filled, Regan left it how it was and began to groom the stud. Placing him back in his stall, she checked her list for the next horse she needed to train.

Spotting sota’s stall, Regan made her way over to it. Peering over his door, the lovely mustang searched her hands for treats, giggling, Regan reached into her pocket and gave him an apple treat. Stepping into his stall, the stud trotted a little circle, obviously full of energy. Waiting by the doorway Regan stood there without moving, but making eye contact whit the horse, he began to settle down so she walked over to him and pet his neck. Exiting his stall, she retrieved his halter and lead him to the round pen (Continued in training: round pen)

Sota & Regan made their way back to the barn where Regan tied him outside his stall. She then filled his water bucket, checked his feet, and groomed him for a while. Noticing his stall was already clean she placed him back in and then glanced at her watch. Amazingly, she was right on time with her training schedule! She sighed and began to search for the next horse on her list.

Avery entered the stallion area of her barn, breathing in the scent of hay and leather. It was home, and she greeted Kodiak, the first stud who was housed in the stable. "Hey there boy," she smiled, popping a small kiss on his muzzle, which he rejected with a quick duck of his head. Avery simply laughed, since you couldn't exactly take these characters seriously, each horse receiving a peppermint before she decided who she planned on riding today. Sota and Oyuskeya were out of the picture, since Regan had worked them today, and done a fine job of it too.
Not that she needed to truly care about that now - their care came first. Each stallion received some feed, water, and fresh bedding, plus a thorough grooming that the majority of them had enjoyed. Finally, Avery decided to try out one of her newest stallions from the bustling sale barn in main town, Ohola. Soldotna, his larger, jealous neighbor, placed a harsh nudge on Avery's arm, which she pushed away with a small "shh now, Soldotna."
Obviously, she didn't take the horse's antics too seriously, leading Ohola out to the crossties. She didn't tack him up, since today was purely going to be focused on horsemanship, and getting to know the beautiful horse she had acquired. Ohola was extremely gentle, however, enjoying every single bit of communication he could get with Avery immensely. He was truly a sweetheart, leading him out to the arena once she'd checked him over for any cuts and scrapes.
