Avery Johns had just come back from taking care of her mares, and entered the stallion barn, home to all of her gorgeous - and fiesty - studs. She greeted the beautiful Fell, the first stall you met, patting his nose. He wasn't nearly as tense as his neighbor a stall down, Flint, who was eager to get out for a ride. "Not yet, Flint," she grinned, speaking to the horse as she moved down to greet him. He pushed his nose over the stall door like the boss he was, nudging her in the arm a bit vigorously. Avery just laughed, knowing that he was hungry, so she got to work on feeding everyone their 15 lbs. of forage, and 5 lbs. of concentrates, just a bit more than the mares needed.
She also refreshed everyone's water using the outdoor pump, and surprisingly, none of the stallions gave her much of a problem during the feeding time. She felt triumphant, and delighted, as she exited the stall, going to purchase some grooming tools and leaving the horses to eat. She'd be back later to exercise them.

Avery sprinted back into the stable, ecstatic at seeing her stallions again. She startled Fell a bit, who'd been napping after a good meal. "Sorry, Fell boy," she laughed, bringing in his own halter and lead. He resisted a bit, but she managed to catch his head in her arms, slipping the halter over his nose and latching it behind his ears. Clipping the leadline onto the snap, she led him out of his stall, as he yawned comically. She was still laughing as she tied him to the hook outside of his stall, since she wasn't going to leave him alone in the crossties.
She entered his stall, and wheeled her muck cart and pitchfork infront of it. It was time to get to work on cleaning out stalls, so she did, replacing the bedding with fresh straw. Once it looked comfy and perfect, she led Fell back inside, patting his neck. She'd see him later for exercise, but for now, she moved on to the other horses.

Avery yawned widely as she said hello to her horses again, grinning at the un-amused look Fell tossed her way. He was seriously giving her the stink eye, if that's possible in the horse world, as she slipped the halter back over his head, leading him outside. He tossed his head like the frisky stallion he usually was, feeling the snow under his feet, at least 3 inches. She laughed, letting him out to the pasture, and returned to the stable to do the same with her other horses. She wasn't riding today, just letting them stretch their legs.

Avery Johns whistled, and as she had expected, only two of her five fiesty stallions even seemed interested. Alastor was the sweetheart of the group, coming up and nudging her. She thanked him with a chunk of a carrot, which led Aramis and Flint forward. "Now, Flint," Avery scolded, watching as he shoved Aramis away, trying to barge his way into a carrot chunk. Avery was haltering Alastor though, leading him through the snow and letting him free into his comfortable stall. She returned to the pasture, Aramis and Flint both with their heads hanging over the gate. She eventually managed to bring them all in, but it truly hadn't been easy.

Avery Johns sprinted into the stables, very fashionably dressed too, in her pajama pants and an old plaid shirt that was buttoned wrong. She had almost no time to be at the stables today, unfortunately, so she got right to work on feeding the stallions, slightly pushing Flint when she reached him, since of course, he didn't like to cooperate. She then refilled their water, making sure it was luke warm.
She then hooked Fell outside of his stall and refreshed his bedding, making sure it padded about a foot up the stall walls, and was covering every area of the stall floor. This, she did with all of the horses, glad that none of them really stirred up a fuss.
Finally, she took all of the horses out and groomed them in the crossties, just a quick curry and hoof pick. They probably enjoyed the lack of care today - none of them really enjoyed it when they were fussed over for a long time, like she had done yesterday.
And last, she let them all out to the pasture. She was sad, since she'd wanted to exercise them today, but she just didn't have the time. They'd enjoy being left alone anyway. She waved goodbye, blowing them each a kiss before heading to the mare area.

Avery had returned from her long day out, and all of the horses, even the high-strung stallions, were worn out from their long day of running in the pasture. She greeted them all excitedly, letting them back into their stalls, were most of them settled down after a drink of water to sleep. She waved goodbye, and exited, leaving them to their peace.

Avery greeted her stallions - most of them fathers-to-be - with a wide smile, patting Fell's nose. He nudged it away, a bit of a snot as usual, so she moved down to Aramis, who would receive his feed first for being so good. Thalion was the only stallion who had not been bred with a mare, but she was hoping to acquire another to breed him with. She was trying to really build up her breeding stock.
She led Fell out of his stall, even though he didn't like it, tossing his head as she hooked him to the ring outside of his stall. She cleaned out his stall and replaced the bedding, also giving him fresh feed and water. She did the same with the rest of her stallions, letting them back into their stalls and returning to the mare stable.

Avery Johns entered the stable, sniffling her nose. It was freezing outside, and they'd received five inches of snow overnight. It was icy too, and she wasn't chancing the horses slipping and getting hurt. She was going to be extremely careful, but still try to get acquainted with her five new stallions. They had all settled in just fine, and the only drawback was that it sure wasn't going to be cheap on feed. She greeted the horses, refreshing their feed, water, and bedding. Then, she took each horse for a small walk up and down the stable driveway, but that was all. It was too dangerous to do a lot else. She waved to them, kissing each of their muzzles [ which Prove didn't enjoy too much ] and headed to the mares.

Avery Johns came to the stallions after visiting her sweet mares, getting right to work with feeding, watering, and giving each horse new bedding. The stallions got irritable if she took a long time, and the day wasn't over with them yet, so she didn't want them being butts while she was trying to work with them. When each horse had gotten feed, she took them out one by one into the crossties.
In the crossties, she gave each stud a thorough grooming until their coats shined, proud of how healthy and strong each horse of hers was. Some of the stallions objected, not enjoying the pampering, but eventually they settled down, and each horse was given a peppermint. Then, she worked on a horsemanship technique, finding areas that were sensitive to the horse and getting them used to hands being there.
Finally, it was about time to leave. Unfortunately, she had to go back home, or these horses would never get to eat. She waved goodbye to them all, checked everything was in order, and hopped in her lime green VW Bug, heading to her house just up the street.

Avery entered the stallion barn, grinning broadly and greeting all of her absolutely a-MAAA-zing studs. They were all itching to get outside and stretch their legs, so she didn't waste any time. She got right on refreshing their feed, water, and bedding, and congratulated Flint, who was going to be the father of yet another foal.
She then gave each of them a grooming, stringing red ribbons in every one of their manes, to match the mare's bows. She planned on doing this everyday until Christmas, just to be festive and have a nice time. She let them all out to the pasture, and they kicked up their heels, delighted to be in the brisk pasture. She grinned, heading back to her house to warm up.

Avery Johns entered the stallion barn, quickly getting to work on refreshing feed, water, and bedding. She knew that it was getting colder outside, and planned on definitely buying blankets now. She gave each of the stallions a quick grooming, just so they weren't dirty, though they weren't too bad anyway. She checked everything was in order and headed to her new work barns, to greet her first ever work program mare.

Avery entered the stallion barn. Once again, these guys were all getting a break today. She just fed, watered, and groomed them all, replacing their bedding, and decided to leave them alone for the day. It was freezing outside, literally, so she wasn't going to work with them a lot, just the work program horses. She waved to them all and left.

Now came the stallions, who were all grumpy butts today, for some reason. She entered and they greeted her with unenthused stares, that screamed anything but joy to see her. "Gee, thanks guys," she mumbled, sticking her tongue out at Fell, who barely moved over for her to enter his stall and halter him.
Since Fell didn't apparently care that she was insulted, he attempted to pull out of her grip, but she fastened him to the hook outside of his stall and began to clear out the bedding (which was a bit disgusting, from her lack of being there lately) and refreshed it, along with his feed and water. She went through the same thing with all of the other horses, even having to place a smack on Flint's muzzle, since biting seemed like a good idea to him that day.
Everyone was in a bad mood, weren't they?
She was growling some inaudible words under her breath as she finished up, leaving the stallions with a kiss blown to only Aramis, who actually tried to be sweet, as usual. Now for the rest of her horses.

Avery entered the stallion barn, to face 10 completely unenthused horses. Right now though, she wasn't caring that they weren't exactly jumping up and down to see her. She just got right to work on feeding and watering them, along with refreshing their bedding. Like the mares, they'd be let out to the pasture for some exercise, and to wake them up a bit - the brisk air would help with that.
She took care of these tasks, let them out to the pasture, and headed to the work barn, to, yet again, be faced with the daunting task of getting more stallions to cooperate (boys are so juvenile sometimes).

Avery drowsily greeted her stallions, yawning. A lot of town business to attend to lately, and she hadn't had much time with her horses, unfortunately. She got to work on feeding and watering the horses, and refreshing their bedding. Every one of them also received a lengthy grooming, which they seemed to appreciate.
Placing their blankets back on, after checking each horse for any rubbing spots, she let them back into their stalls to rest and generally, just be comfortable.

Avery bounded into the stallion barn, and as she had done with her mares, she greeted them all with a 'MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!' She didn't really receive any sort of response, except from Fell, who snorted, seemingly amused at her antics.
She had only sold one of her morgan stallions so far - that one being Flint - but she planned on them all selling, eventually. They were great horses, no reason they wouldn't. She'd also acquired two new stallions for her recent breeding program - Kodiak and Talkeetna. Kodiak was a spunky Mustang stallion, who Avery was absolutely ecstatic about caring for, and Talkeetna was definitely the new king of the stable, being a strong, beautiful Gypsy Vanner.
She got to work on feeding, watering, and grooming all of the horses, spending quite a bit of time with Kodiak and Talkeetna. She wanted to get to know them as well as she could, since training would probably begin today for both of them. She refreshed each horses' bedding too, and left them each a present on top of their feed - two carrots and a peppermint.
Now, she was heading over to the work program barn. It was time for their sale, since they were trained. Unfortunately, she decided that it'd be best to end her work program, since she couldn't keep up with it all that well, and she really wanted to focus on her breeding program. She waved goodbye to the stallions.

She groomed him all over again, and led him down to the training arena. Once again, she wasn't going to ride him yet today. Eventually though, she hoped for him to be a great barrel racer.
