Mares

Riley walked back in a while after she'd left the grey walking behind her. Riley stopped at the cross ties so she could untack the mare before getting her next ride. She smiled a little today seemed to be going quicker then the other days had. She reached over and grabbed the mare halter. She pulled the reins back over her head and held onto them. She unfastened the straps on the bridle and pulled it off in one fluid movement. The mare backed a few steps and then riley slid the halter into place. She stifled a yawn it was still early. She pulled the reins off and clipped on the cross ties and hung the bridle nearby. She walked to the saddle and undid the girth pulling off the saddle and saddle pad and setting them aside. She grabbed a brush and groomed off the mare quickly removing the dried sweat and loose hair that she'd aquired during the excersice. She finished grooming her off and walked the horse forward to her stall where she pulled off the halter and hung it back where it belonged. She locked the stall door and headed off to get her next horse.

Riley spotted the dark bay filly Careta who was her next mount. She stopped before her stall and grabbed her halter. She slid it on and lead her from the stall to the cross ties. She clipped on the cross ties and unclipped the lead rope. She Grabbed one of the brush and began to groom off the silky mare. She smiled as the horses coat began glow. She finished grooming her off and slid the saddle pad onto her back setting the saddle ontop of that. She grabbed the girth and tightened it. the horse side stepped away but then remained still. She walked back to where the bridle was and grabbed it walking forward toward the mare. She pulled the reins over the horses head and unclipped the cross ties. She pulled off her halter and slid on the bridle latching the straps. She set the halter aside and pulled the reins over the horses head walking her from the barn to the training arena.

Riley walked back in leading the dark bay mare behind her. She'd given her a beautiful work. Riley reached over and patted her neck cooing to her softly. She grabbed the horses halter and slid off the bridle. She quickly replaced it with her halter. She clipped on the cross ties and hung the bridle up until she'd need it for the next horse. She walked back to the saddle undoing the girth and pulling it off. She set it aside since she'd put it back when she finished riding. She grabbed a brush and began to groom the mare. Once she'd finished she clipped on the lead rope again and lead her toward her stall. Riley pulled off the halter and hung it up. She shut and locked the door behind her.

She strolled down the barn aisle toward her last mount a bay mare named Alado. She smiled as she saw the mare peering from her stall. She grabbed the horses halter and pulled it on. She unlocked the stall door and lead her forward toward the cross ties. She clipped on the cross ties and began to groom her humming a song to herself. She was completely awake now. She finished grooming the horse and then grabbed the saddle pad sliding it onto the mares sliky back. She set the saddle upon the white pad and tightened the girth. She stretched for a second then grabbed the bridle. She quickly bridled the mare and pulled the reins over her head leading her from the barn to the arena.

Riley walked back into the barn leading the mare alado. She cross tied her and pulled off the bridle replacing it with her halter. She set the bridle aside and went back to the saddle. She undid the girth from both sides and laid it over the saddle pulling it off. She set it next to the bridle and went to grooming off the horse. After she'd finished she lead the mare back to her stall and pulled off her halter. She hung the hatler up and walked back down the aisle. She gathered the equipment and walked back to the tack room. She put everything where it belonged and walked back out into the aisle walking toward the door. She walked out and headed toward the boarding stable.
