Mares

Riley walked back into the barn leading the grey mare. It was her last ride for the day and she was a little happy. She was exhausted and still had some shopping to do before she could go home. She lead the mare to the crossties and halted her. SHe pulled the reins back over her head and grabbed the halter. She unlatched everything on the bridle and replaced it with her halter. She slid the reins back over her head and set the bridle aside. She clipped on the crossties and walked toward the saddle. She unlatched the girth from both sides and laid it across the saddle. She pulled the saddle and saddlepad off and set them aside too. She'd take everything back at once on her way out of the barn. She grabbed the brushes and brushed the mare off until there was no sign of sweat. She clipped on the lead rope and walked her to the stall. She put her in and pulled off her halter and hung it where it belonged. She locked the door and walked down the aisle gathering the items she walked back to the tack room. She replaced everything and headed down the aisle to the door she was done for the day.

Chloe walked into the barn, ready for her second day of work. Chloe smiled to herself as she measured out the mare's grain and then gave each mare her portion. Then she threw each mare the correct amount of hay and refilled each water bucket. While the mares were eating she took the opportunity to muck out their stalls while they were standing still. Once all the stalls were clean she ran over each mare quickly with a few brushes. A couple would get a better brushing later, by Riley, but she made sure they were all presentable. Once she was done and everything was put away Chloe left the mares and went over to take care of the stallions.

Riley walked into the barn for her second day of work she was currently training the mares for rissa. She was having fun the horses she'd ridden yesterday had been excellent. She'd enjoyed everyminute of working with them. She walked down the aisle and ran her finger down the list writing down the horses for today on a scrap of paper.

Ms. Special Pose, Careta, Alado

She slid the paper in her pocket and headed off down the aisle to get her first ride. Riley walked down the aisle and stopped at the stall which housed a tall dapple grey mare. She smiled this was her first ride. She walked opened the stall and clipped the lead rope onto the mares halter she tossed her head away. Riley opened the door and lead her into the aisle and down to the crossties. She walked back to the tack room and grabbed some brushes and the saddle and bridle she'd use. She slowly began to brush the mare off looking for any cuts, scrapes or bumps. Not seeing any she finished brushing her off. She grabbed her saddle pad and set it on the mares back. She set the saddle upon that and began to tighten the girth. She waited for a few minutes then decided to retighten it. Getting it snug she reached for the bridle. As she pulled the reins over the mares head she tossed it. Riley pulled off her halter with some difficulty and worked on bridling the mare after about five minutes of patience she finished bridling her. That was something she'd work on the mare with as she rode her the only thing you could do was be patient and give her time eventually she wouldn't be head shy. She lead the mare out of the barn and to the training arena.

Riley walked back into the barn leading the dapple grey mare. She'd given her an excellent ride and she couldn't have been happier. She stopped her at the crossties. She pulled off the mares bridle quickly as she tossed her head and stepped back quickly. She talked soothingly to her. She pulled on the mare's halter and pulled the reins over her head clipping on the cross ties. She set the bridle aside and went back to the saddle. She loosened the girth and pulled off the saddle. She pulled the saddle pad off and set it upside down on the saddle. She brushed the mare off then returned her to her stall locking the stall door behind her. She pulled the slip of paper from her pocket and crossed off he mare's name.

Ms. Special Pose, Careta, Alado

She looked at the list and began walking down the aisle to the next horses stall. She spotted the dark filly and smiled. She grabbed her halter and lead rope and slipped them on leading the mare from her stall. She lead her to the crossties and clipped them on. She grabbed a brush and began to groom off the mare she quickly groomed her off getting the dust from the night off. She slowly put all the brushes back after she'd finished grooming her and grabbed the saddle pad. She sat it on the mare's back and set the saddle upon it. She tightened the girth and reached for the bridle. She slid the reins over the mares head and slid off her halter. She slipped the bit into the mares mouth and latched all the pieces of the bridle. She slowly lead the mare from the barn.

Riley walked down the aisle again leading the second mare she'd ridden. The dark hued filly follwed behind her closely her hid covered in small dried sweat stains. She patted the mares neck and unlatched the throat latch and the noseband. She grabbed the mares halter and pulled the reins over her head. She clipped the cross ties to her halter and set the bridle aside. She loosened the girth and pulled off the saddle. She set the saddle pad upside down on the saddle. She grabbed the brushes and quickly groomed the mare off. She smiled as she eyed the gleaming mare. She unclipped the cross ties and clipped on her lead rope leading her back to her stall. She took off her halter and unclipped the lead rope. She hung them where they belonged and took out her paper again. She crossed of this mare leaving only one to ride.

She slowly walked down the aisle to the last mare. She spotted the bay mare and smiled. She grabbed the mares halter and lead rope and slowly opened the door she slid the halter over her head and attached the lead rope. She led the mare from the stall and into the crossties. She clipped the crossties onto her halter and grabbed the brushes. she groomed the mare quickly and grabbed the saddle pad setting it on her back. She slowly set the saddle on her back and tightened the girth. She reached for the bridle and slipped the reins over the mares head. She slid off her halter and slipped the bit into her mouth. She pulled the crown piece over her ears and latched everything. She pulled the reins over the mares head and lead her from the barn to the arena.

Riley walked in leading the last mare she had to ride for the day. She lead her to the cross ties. She still had 3 more to ride and lounge her young mare. Oh well she needed to money so she'd work if it meant money. She slipped the mares bridle off and replaced it with a halter. She clipped on the cross ties and set the bridle aside for a second. She loosened the girth and pulled off the saddle setting the saddle pad upside down on top of it. She grabbed some brushes and groomed off the mare quickly. She got all the dried sweat and loose hair off and she put the brushes back in the box. She clipped the mares lead rope on and lead her down the aisle to her stall. She walked her in and pulled off the halter and lead rope. She returned it to here it belonged and locked the door as she exited. She walked down the aisle to where to tack was and gathered it together. She carried it all to the tack where she placed everything where it was supposed to go. She walked out of the tack room and headed down the aisle done for the day.

Chloe came into the barn to take care of the mares. She'd already riden her own mare, Ayla and the two stallions she'd been supposed to ride that day for Rissa. She'd already taken care of Ayla as well, so now she just had to take care of all of Rissa's horses. So she got to work. Chloe fed the mares the correct portions of forage and concentrates and mucked out their stalls. She scrubbed out their water buckets and refilled them. Then, very quickly, she brushed each mare. She didn't have a favorite yet, as she did not know any of them very well, so they all got the same treatment. Once she was done with the mares she went off to take care of the stallions.

Rissa strolled in to see her mares. She had been quite restless at home. Going to Whinnie first, she greeted her, petting her soft neck. All of her horses were amazing and she loved to spend time with each of them. It had been a very busy week, but with Chloe and Riley helping out with the horses, things were a lot better then they would have been without their wonderful help. Going down the line of mares, she greeted each one until she got to the end. Then, she left and went back to her house.

Riley walked down the aisle that was becoming more familiar everyday. She'd already but in two days of work today would be her third and then tomorrow off. She sighed as she walked down the aisle to the bay mares stall. She'd liked her thursday when she'd ridden her today they'd work on balance and extensions. She still wanted to work on the basics. She grabbed the mares halter and pulled it over her head. She clipped on the lead rope and walked her out into the aisle to the cross ties. She walked to the tack room and grabbed some brushes and her tack. She walked back to where the mare stood and began to groom her. She brushed her off quickly and set the saddle pad on her back. She set the saddle upon that and tightened the girth. She grabbed the bridle and slipped it onto the mare. She pulled the reins over the mares head and lead her from the barn to the training arena.

Riley walked in leading chocolate kiss. She'd just finished riding her. The mare pranced behind her proud of herself. Riley smiled broadly and patted the mares dried neck. She stopped her at the cross ties and pulled the reins back over her head. She pulled off her bridle and replaced it with her halter pulling the reins back over her head. She clipped on the crossties and moved to the saddle. She pulled off the saddle and set it aside. She brushed off the mare and clipped on the lead rope. She unclipped her cross ties and lead the mare back to her stall. She pulled off her halter and leadrope hanging them where they belonged and locking the door. She headed down the aisle to get her next horse.

Riley approached the grey's stall and grabbed her halter. She slipped it onto the mare and opened the stall door leading the mare out. She lead her to the crossties and cross tied her. She grabbed the brushes and began to brush her already clean coat. It was habit to brush a horse before and after excercise it helped thier blood circulate. She finished brushing the mare and set the saddle pad on her back. Setting the saddle on top of it she tightened the girth. She grabbed the bridle and pulled the reins over the mares head. She bridled her and then pulled the reins over her head and lead her from the barn to the arena.

Chloe came into Arlington stables to take care of the mares as she worked for Rissa and taking cafe of the mares was part of her job. She measured out each mares concentrates and forage and fed the mares. She then scrubbed out all the water buckets and refilled them with cool, clear, clean, fresh water. Then she mucked out each stalls and groomed all the mares. Once she was done she made sure everything was put away and then went over to take care of the stallions.

Riley walked down the aisle leading the grey mare once again she only had one more to ride for rissa before she was finished then she had to go ride her own. She stopped at the cross ties as usual and pulled off the mares bridle replacing it with her halter. She clipped on the cross ties and went to the saddle she unlatched the girth and pulled off the saddle and saddle pad. The mare was coated in dried sweat from the work out she'd just recieved. It had only been walk trot but it had been an extensive walk trot session. Riley grabbed a brush and began to groom her quickly removing all the dried sweat and loose hair. After the mare was clean she put the brushes back and unclipped the cross ties clipping on her lead rope. She lead the mare back to her stall and pulled off her halter hanging it where it belonged. She locked the stall door and headed down the aisle to get her last ride.

She got to the stall containing the last horse she had to ride for rissa for the day and she grabbed the mares halter. She slipped on the mares halter rubbing her grey forhead and lead her from the stall to the cross ties where she clipped her in the crossties and began to groom her. She finished grooming her and set the saddlepad and saddle on her back. She tightened the girth and then movedto the mares head to put on her bridle. She finished bridling her and then led her out of the barn to the training arena.

Riley walked in leading her last mount for the day. She stopped at the cross ties and pulled off the mares halter. She replaced it with her halter and cross tied her. She put the bridle aside and loosened the girth to the saddle. She pulled off the saddle and saddle pad setting the saddle pad upside down on the saddle to dry. She groomed off the mare getting ride of what dried sweat remained. She finished grooming her off and clipped on her lead shank again. She unclipped the crossties and walked her down the aisle to her stall. She locked the stall door as she exited she hung up her halter and bridle. She went back down the aisle and grabbed the tack she carried it back to the tackroom and replaced all the items. she closed the tack room door and walked from the barn leaving to go care for her horses.

Chloe came into the barn Sunday morning, a tired look on her face. It was not even lunchtime and she had already trained three horses. She tired measured out the mares forage and concentrates and fed them. While they ate she mucked out all their stalls and gave them new bedding when necessary. Then she scrubbed out and refilled their water buckets. Once that was all done Chloe groomed each of the mares quickly, for she still had to go over and take care of the stallions. Once everything was done and put away Chloe closed the door behind her and went over to take care of the stallions.

Chloe came into the mare barn in a slight hurry. She still needed to ride Calisto and it was getting dark out. She quickly measured out their forage and concentrates and fed the mares. Chloe then mucked out their stalls and dumped, scrubbed, rinsed, and refilled their water buckets. She then ran over each mare with a curry comb and a dandy brush and picked out their feet. Then she was on her way.

Riley walked into the barn she had three horses to ride for rissa today. She walked down the aisle already knowing the three for saturday her schedule was pretty easy to remember the horses changed every other day. She walked down the aisle to the bay mare chocolate kiss. When she reached her stall she grabbed the halter and slid it onto the silky mare. She clipped on the lead rope and lead her from the stall. She crosstied her and walked to the tack room coming back carrying brushes, a saddle, saddle pad and a bridle. She set everything aside and began to brush the mare. She finished brushing her off and then slid the saddle pad onto her silky back. She set the saddle upon that and then tightened the girth. She reached for the bridle and quickly slid it onto the mare. She hooked all the latches and slid the reins over her head leading her toward the arena.

Riley walked back through the barn leading the bay mare she still had two to ride but that wouldn't be to bad they were working on basics still so it was a pretty easy ride. She stopped at the crossties and pulled off the mares bridle replacing it with a halter. She clipped on the cross ties and set the bridle aside. She undid the girth and slid off the saddle pulling the saddle pad off too. She grabbed the brushes and began to brush off the mare again she made sure no sweat was left and then she slipped on the mares lead rope again. She lead her back to the stall and removed the halter. She replaced it on the hook and locked the stall door.

She walked down the aisle to the grey's stall and reached for the halter. She led her fromthe stall to the cross ties and cross tied her. She began to groom her off and finally finished. She grabbed the saddle pad and slid it onto the mares smooth back. She set the dressage saddle upon that and then tightened the girth the mare fidgeted a little but then remained still. She unclipped the cross ties and pulled off the mare halter pulling on the bridle. She finished tacking her and pulled the reins over her head leading her from the barn to the training arena.

Riley lead the grey mare back through the barn. SHe'd just finished a pretty heavy work out with the mare and she'd been absoloutly perfect. She patted the mare neck and then halted her as they reached cross ties. She unlatched the bridle and slid it off replacing it with the mares halter. She latched the cross ties again and then moved to the saddle. She undid the girth and pulled the saddle off pulling the saddle pad off too and setting it over the saddle upside down. She grabbed a brush and began to groom off the mare. She quickly finished and replaced the brush. She clipped on the mares lead rope and lead her back to her stall pulling off her halter and hanging it back up. SHe locked the door and headed down the aisle to get the next horse.

As she reached the stall of the next grey mare she stopped to stifle a yawn. She grabbed the mares halter and slid it over her ears. She lead her to the cross ties and clipped them on taking off the lead rope and set it aside. she grabbed a brush and groomed off the mare quickly. She set the saddle pad on the mares silver back and set the saddle upon that. She tightened the girth and exchanged the mares halter for the bridle and then pulled the reins over the horses head and lead her from the barn.

Riley walked into the barn leading her last mount for arlington of the day. She stopped at the cross ties and traded the mares bridle for her halter. She clipped on the cross ties and then moved to the saddle. She unlatched the girth and slid off the saddle. She removed the saddle pad and grabbed a brush. She began to brush the dried sweat off the mare. Once she finished she lead the mare back to her stall. Taking off her halter and hanging it up. She locked the stall door and then went back to the tack. She gathered everything up and then headed back to the tack room replacing everything. She walked down the aisle saying good bye to the girls and walked out of the barn and off to the boarding barn where she kept her horses.

Riley strolled down the aisle used to the procedure now. She'd been working here for a little while so she had the routine down. She walked toward the dapple grey mare, Ms. Special Pose's, stall. She was the hard one out of the bunch. She was extremly head shy. Riley grabbed the halter and unlocked the door stepping inside. She worked on haltering the mare after a few minutes she led her from the stall to the cross ties. She cross tied her and then walked down the aisle to get brushes. She reutnred a few moments later carrying a saddle, bridle, saddle pad, and a tote of brushes. she set everything down and grabbed a curry comb beginning to work on the mare. She finished going through the brush making sure the mare was clean before she slid the saddle pad onto her back. After sliding the saddle pad on she set the saddle on top of it. She began to tighten the girth. She tightened it as much as she could but always had to tighten it again the mare liked to blow herself up. She grabbed the bridle and slowly began to bridle the mare it only took a few minutes this time. She was getting better about it. She reached back and tightened the girth on the saddle and then walked from the barn leading the mare.
