She gave an ear-piercing screech at his gesture, swatting his hands away before she stumbled a few steps backwards. She was desperate to find a way to stop him from tickling her any longer, as that was one thing she couldn't take for a second, lashing out at him with a kick that flopped about a foot off the ground before she had to steady herself again and set herself straight once more. "Don't you dare," she grumbled, her supposedly 'fierce' attitude downplayed by her amused smile as she jabbed a finger out at him, as if it'd keep him back. She was, wisely, taking more strides away from him before he had a chance to catch what she was doing in an attempt to avoid anymore of his tickles, but it didn't last long. The whole mood was cut off by a crack in the sky that made her scream - this time, in fright, not due to his playful actions. It was followed by a crash that seemed to shake the earth below her feet, a yelp resulting from that. Two seconds after the line of events, it was completely silent, the rain even seeming to be a bit more quiet due to the disturbance in everything being so good.
Avery's extremely wide eyes looked over to him, now grasping for his side with her hands frantically, not letting go once she'd made it next to him. "What was all that?" she muttered, face resting on the back of his bare, wet shoulder. This reminded her immensely of the time they'd first met and been stupid enough to try out a visit to the ghost town, which hadn't ended on the best note - they'd both been frightened. She had no idea if he was scared at all, probably not, but that had startled Avery dreadfully, and it was too bothersome to let it go. She wanted to know what that had all been, mainly the howl that had topped off the entire chain of sound.
