She snickered, staring into his face with a mocking expression that matched his words with just as much of a smug attitude as he spoke them with. "Dork is something related to a whale that is inappropriate to repeat here, Tanner my dear, and if you had really gone to Hell, I'd be there with you," sure enough. She'd go anywhere he went, though that prospect was a bit cheesy when you considered it for after you died. Still, she wouldn't be seperated from him no matter what you threw at her, and that was that. "Besides, you'll be a perfect little angel in Heaven, so why in the world are you saying you're going to go to Hell?" she pouted, casting a moping glance in his direction. She hoped he didn't notice the blush spreading over her cheeks, due completely to the people passing by - and the looks they were getting from those people. She never did too well with being the center of attention in a moment she would prefer to be fairly private, but what could she do? It wasn't that big of a deal, really, but she was getting to the point of the color of a tomato and her face was heating up to 300 degrees. "Maybe...we should get up," she muttered, unconsciously resting her face more on the opposite side of his own, blocking her vision of the stares they were getting. She really didn't think he'd be a stinker when she was like this and keep her there and just kiss her more to tick her off, but she was prepared, arms around his stomach and ready to wrench him to his feet if he were to object to her round-a-bout request.

Tanner quickly stood to her demand and smiled into her beautiful blue eyes. Avery, you know...I haven't started a fight with anyone since we started going out. He queried. I think I'm pretty, extremly happy. He said in a calm, happy-go-lucky voice like everything he said was just life. Though it wasn't just anyone's life. This was his. He thought he was going to be alone for the rest of his life. That was definately not the case, now. He completely discregarded her question about his afterlife just to tell her something random. Oh well, he knew that it would make her happy. Really, Tanner didn't care what people thought. He could do anything in a crowd, especially something out of the ordinary. The passer-bys were beginning to turn their attention away from Tanner and Avery as they began to act normal once again. Tanner had to admit that that wouldn't be the last time they were the center of attention. It was completely against his personality.

Whew, that flew right over her head. She blinked at him once or twice, her blue eyes flashing under her eyelids as she attempted to see the reasoning behind his fairly random comment that didn't truly answer her question. "Uhm. OK, that's really good," she finally managed, grabbing his hand and tugging him across the college grounds quickly. She was sorting through his words in her mind, eventually deciding she was probably going to far with a useless subject and he was just getting off of it to save her from actually having to be logical and smart for once. "Let's walk somewhere where there aren't fifty bigillion people," she requested, her mouth in a crumpled up smile that still showed she was shy and embarrassed with the attention. The scarlet wasn't leaving her cheeks either, which was seriously ticking her off, because she didn't want to seem like she was apprehensive about being out in public with him and getting attention. She just didn't quite get how to handle it without seeming like an uncoordinated, brainless dork was all.

Well, he certainly felt like a complete loser at the moment as a result of her reaction towards his comment. He looked away from her face just as she yanked him forward away from the eyes of spectators. Nosy freakin people. They obviously didn't have anything better to do than go out to campus grounds and watch people goof around. Oh well, it didn't bother him much. Tanner jogged behind her. Where are we going? He pleaded lightly.

"No idea. Away. From the scary people," she hissed, her vocals a whisper, as though they were all listening and hanging on her every word. She had a death grip on his hand as she towed him across the ground, eventually coming to the trails that branched off sporadically and irregularly through the forest that the college called home. Each was given a typical name, plastered on an old wooden sign that were each perched, crooked, on a post. The two they were presented with at this moment were the two quite originally named trails Harper Trail and Oak Trail. Seriously, was it that hard to come up with some better names?
Shaking her head, to literally rid the thoughts from her mind as she mulled over the possibilities of better names, she pointed towards the trails as she turned to face him. "Which way, my prince?" her voice was soft and tender, though it became fairly teasing near the end of her short inquiry. Knowing him, he would've taken her reaction to his response just a bit too seriously, and she didn't want him to be insulted or feel too bad about it. It'd just been random. "Or, we can go down to those trails. They might have better names," in the distance, it was easy to catch sight of three more trails, branching off in different directions and seeming to lead to the middle of no where. Anywhere would be fine if he was still there, and still holding her hand. That was all she requested. Peering over his shoulder, she felt a surge of hope as she could no longer see the main school grounds. They were alone. Even better, she smirked to herself. Not that she was planning on anything, but she preferred it to be just them most of the time.

As they appeared in the dim forest, her words were pretty much the only thing he could hear. The only things he wanted to hear. Truthfully, he really didn't care where they went. I don't care. He said softly, glancing around the new surroundings. A strange feeling was cast over him. He wasn't sure what it meant, but it was weird. Something that he'd never felt before. Especially around other people. He'd figure it out sometime. Just not at the moment, for he had no idea what he was feeling. Tanner let go of the thoughts and tried to converge on more interesting things, like what was happening now. Why are we here? He aske d innocently, wandering what she had planned for today.

She snickered, more at herself then anything. She had no answer for him on that, hiding slightly behind her hair as she gave a sloppy shrug. "I just wanted to get away from them, so it'd be just us," in her mind, they were two groups, just as she'd seemed to say. Them vs. us, and us always won, no matter what, because he was too perfect to let anything get in their way. She was heading down Oak Trail without realizing it, bringing him along with the lightest hold on his hand imaginable. It could've been a brittle leaf for all he knew, but it was her cold fingers, clutching to his own as she continued to walk. "Sorry for dragging you into the middle of no where, but...yeah," she gave a soft chuckle, trying not to seem too desperate for his attention. He just didn't understand what she'd been going through these past weeks without him. She needed this more than he realized.

[ok, cool. =DD]
Tanner smiled and pulled her body close to his, embracing her in a gentle, yet loving hug. He needed her attention just as much as she needed his. No doubt about that, it's just that he is a little sore on showing it. He doesn't want to seem to desperate. He pulled back, his eyes gazing in to her's. He wasn't speaking much, for this was all he needed. Just to be close to her , just to be here. The sun poked its way through the holey canopy, giving a glinting glow apon the couple. This is quite romantic, he thought absently. He could never say that out loud, just in case she didn't find it as romantic as he did. Tanner leaned forward and pressed his lips to her's, creating a perfect fit. He made a risky move by opening his mouth a little, but not much. Quickly closing it, he just kissed her softly for a few moments.

It was hard to see if she was giving approval of his actions or not, but her little hum of happiness, just loud enough for his ears to catch it, should signal she was quite pleased with the moment. She was doing well with the self control factor of it, pressing herself against him, but stopping there and savoring the kiss, every bit of it. "Happy happy happy..." she mumbled, pulling back for a quick breath that she didn't want anyway. So, not everyone went around actually speaking their emotions, but she didn't know what else to do, too overjoyed at this rare chance to do much else. Her eyes were sparkling with her elated emotions as she took a glance up at him, giggling slightly. "You're awful cute, but way too tall," she huffed. Why did she have to look up at everyone, really? It wasn't fair.

He grinned at the actual speaking of her emotions. He thought it was cute. Very cute. That's cute. He spoke softly, continuing to have that crooked smile on his face. Or maybe, you're just WAY to short. Tanner chuckled and bent his knees to where he was about an inch shorter than her. Better? He said cutely, cocking his head and looking up at her with a puppydog face. His knees were locking up, making it slightly painful in this position. It wasn't much time before he shifted his position back to his normal stance. He knew she wouldn't mind much.

Hah, she could out pout him no matter what, no matter how hard he tried. She hated to break that to him and burst his bubble, though, so she just stood there with her arms crossed, head ducked and shoulders slumped forward in an unappealing, concealed position. "You just ruined my life," she sobbed, giving a dramatic flip of her hair as she turned her head away from him, sucking in a gigantic gasp of air. "NO LONGER, TALL PERSON. YOU DESERVE BETTER," she added, a pitiful swoon given to him as she batted her eyelashes in his direction. Cute? Very. And she was proving it with these actions, doing her best to make even her body language appealing in some way to him. [BAHA, that's a sick joke right there.] She took a peek out of the corner of her eye at him in an attempt to see his expression, and how he was taking to her spur of the moment acting.

He crossed his arms too, watching her every move. He raised a brow. DESERVE BETTER? He announced in a hateful voice. Though, she could probably figure out by now that he was just playing along. Nope. You're all I'll ever want. There is no 'better'. He said in a shrugging tone. Like it really wasn't that big of a deal. He turned around and pretended like he didn't care. He could hold off this little act for much longer because he'd soon be in a fit of tickling her if she didn't break soon. He smirked unnocticably and waited for her reaction.

Forget the act, it was impossible for her to continue now. First came a long, drawn out 'awwww', which should prepare him for what she literally yelled next. "TANNER, YOU'RE THE SWEETEST THING!" she exclaimed, attacking him and burying her face in his back, which was, unfortunately, what was facing her right now. Perhaps it was for the better, or she'd be giving him cheesy goo goo eyes right now and calling him a bunch of names and nobody likes that unless you're a total sap. She'd be clinging to him by midnight no matter what, even if he didn't turn around or say something. She'd just stay here and be with the one person she wanted to be with for eternity and beyond. Nothing wrong with that, really, in her eyes, nothing at all, and you couldn't blame her. Just look at him.

No, Tanner couldn't hold off for one bit, turning around in her grasp and hugging her back, grinning in pure happiness. Well, it's true. He whispered, continuing to hug her in a warm embrace. This was all to perfect. And to his surprise, it was real. This girl really did love him and that's all he ever wanted from her. Truth was, he couldn't always expect it though. There was no telling when she was going to up and love another guy. Who could blame her? Who could blame the possible future boyfriend? She was incredibly gorgeous and had an amazing personality. He sighed at these unwanted thoughts. Tanner was dying for their future to actually happen? Would they actually be together 2 years from now? How about 5? He pulled back, and began his inquiry about the future. Now, this wasn't completely random, for he'd been thinking about it for days. Avery... He began, almost sounding like a breakup. But, that was FAR from what he had in mind.

Oh, god. Something happened in the pit of her stomach as her smile faded, a look of almost panic appearing on her features, though she subdued it. It only continued to glisten in her eyes, growing wide with anticipation of his words. She'd gone through this before with two other guys, and it started the same way. Thing was, here, she didn't ever want to hear those words from him. She was his forever, but only if he wanted her to be. Her face had grown pale by now, these thoughts flooding her mind in a sudden rush. Avery...I think it's better we went our own ways for a while. She was imagining that in his voice and it was terrible, staring at him as she crossed her arms, nails on one hand digging into the skin on the other. She was preparing herself, mainly not to have a breakdown if he spoke what she was expecting. Truth was, she didn't see what she'd done wrong this time. First time, she'd been doing drugs, which Trevor had found fairly unappealing. Second time, she apparently didn't care enough about Kole and he wasn't interested anymore. She'd been good this time, because she actually meant it with him. She adored Tanner.

Tanner racked his brain, trying to figure out what to say. He didn't want to seem to desperate, then again he wanted her to know how much he really cared for her. He swallowed, beginning his words. ....Uhh..Do you think it will last? Err, do you want it to last? He asked softly, shifting his eyes away from her face, just in case she said something he didn't quite want to hear. Anyone could expect this conversation to come up some time in a relationship. He just hoped he didn't take her by complete surprise, putting her on the spot.

If her heart hadn't been speeding at sixty million miles per hour, she would've laughed, as this was the total opposite of what she'd been preparing herself for. Her lips were hanging open, because it was impossible for her to express how badly she wanted this relationship to work. Or more, how badly she wanted him. Finally, she gave a sweet smile, brushing a few locks of hair out of her face that were obscuring her vision of him. "Tanner, you're all that I live for. Yeah, baby, I want this to last," her voice was a squeak, words sugarcoated with how affectionate they were. Truly, she hadn't been expecting this, though she'd never gotten to this point in any sort of relationship before. It always ended before she barely had a chance to show the boy she liked him, but this time, it was different, and it would still be out of the norm for her. He was her forever, and she had no qualms with that.

A silent sigh of relief drifted from his vocals as she spoke exactly what he wanted to hear. Finally a girl that actually wanted him just as much as he wanted her. Though, he'd never wanted a girl quite like this before. With about 2 feet in between them, he leaned forward and kissed her lips in a cute and quick manner. That's good to hear because Avery I love you more than anything. And I always will. So, if you break up with me, I'll grow to be elderly alone and die with my 57 cats. He said, adding on his handsome crooked smile. I truly and desperately NEED you. He whispered, staring her strait in the face. He finally admited his desperation for her. Oh well. That the the truth.

This was fairly embarrassing, having these words spoken to her face, though they were everything she'd ever need to know that life was worthwhile. Of course, all she could manage at the end of his intoxicating lyrics was a quick, "you have 57 cats?" Her smile was lopsided, the blush spreading across her cheeks like a wildfire as she glanced up at him. She shouldn't be so shy about this now, as they'd been together long enough for her to not feel surprised whenever he offered her affection. This was different somehow, as they were actually expressing how much they relied on eachother to...survive, really. She grabbed his hand gently, hanging on to one finger as she kept her eyes focused on him, not sure what to do. This was still romantic, but now it was one of those awkward romantic moments, at least for her. But wait, didn't the boy take two long strides towards her now, placing a kiss on her lips that was passionate enough to beat out any other kiss she'd receive in her life? She'd go for that, though this wasn't any movie in Hollywood.

He rolled his eyes playfully at her remark about his joking sentence earlier before. He put his hands on her waist and pulled her body to where it was pressing up against his and kissed her more passionately than ever before. His heart seemed to swell and burst at this moment as he kissed her, using a strong yet senstitive force among her. He continued to kiss her, feeling the electricity between them. This was overly intoxicating, better than any high he'd ever felt. He didn't want to let her go, but he knew that soon he'd have to.
