kentucky humane society »
basic the kentucky humane society is quite often the last chance for a lot of glen oak horses. horses here receive the top care available, all thanks to the people of glen oak and the dedicated staff of the establishment.
how it works if someone doesn't want their horses anymore, instead of selling them, they can go with an easier choice - giving them to the humane society, at no cost. the humane society will gladly take in the horse, and they will start on their journey to a better life.
to give a horse to the humane society, visit the 'donate a horse' area, in the main office. post all of your horse's statistics. once you've done so, they'll be moved to our stable.
when donating a horse, you are required to keep all tack that you've used previously with the horse.
the next step once a horse is moved to our stable, they will undergo training in a discipline that personally suits them. if a horse shows enormous potential, usually due to their lineage or previous training, they may be trained in two disciplines. during this time, they will also receive only the best care and feed from the humane society staff.
the beginning once a horse has completed their training, they will be sold at the glen oak sale barn to an owner who, hopefully, will take care of them for the rest of their life.
