Avery Johns entered the stable, a huge smile sitting upon her face as she greeted her horses, specifically the first horse you met - Esme. She gently stroked the mare's nose, speaking to her as she entered her stall with a feed bucket, holding the carefully measured amount of feed, 14.2 lbs of forage and 4.8 lbs of concentrates. It was calculated to perfectly match the mare's needs, with light work and normal weight.
She dumped the feed in her large bucket, then returned to the outdoor heated pump, filling a bucket with enough water for the mare and heading back inside. The mare was eating, and barely paid any attention to Avery as she entered with the water, dumping it inside her water dish. Avery let her eat, and did the same with Vanya, Eruanna, Raina, and Beriana. She'd clean out their stalls later, groom them, and take them out for exercise. Now, she was just letting them settle in.

Avery greeted her mares with a cheery, "Hey girls!", patting Esme's nose. Esme knew something was coming up, and was actually eager to let her slip the halter over her nose, earning a peppermint from Avery. She hooked her outside of her stall, and got to work on cleaning it out, replacing the bedding. Once it looked suitable, she let Esme back inside, moving down the aisle to her other mares. Eruanna didn't want to cooperate, as usual, but everyone else did, and Avery left with a pleased look on her face. It was back to the stallions now. She was considering riding Fell, and maybe Flint, and letting everyone else out to the pasture for the day.

Avery headed back into the mare stable, Esme whinnying to her eagerly. The mare obviously wanted to get outside and stretch her legs, so she gladly pranced along beside Avery as she haltered her and led her out into the snow. It was beginning to flurry, and it was absolutely gorgeous, adding white specks onto the mare's creamy brown pelt. "Who knows, you might be a fleabitten grey by the time I bring you back in!" Avery laughed, patting her neck and rolling her eyes as Fell charged the gate, whinnying to them as they passed.
Avery reached the mare pasture, seperated by the pasture for geldings, wisely. She let Esme out into the snow, and she took off, kicking up her heels. Avery returned to the barn, after watching her a bit, to let the other horses out.

Avery Johns was armed. She entered the mare pasture and whistled to all five of her mares, only one of them - that mare being the sweet Esme - coming to greet her. Eruanna, being the little snot of the group, was hiding in a corner, Beriana was timidly hiding behind Esme, Raina was rolling in the middle of the pasture, and Vanya was grazing, acting like she had no clue what was going on. How in the world could horses be so comical?
She haltered Esme, thanking her with a chunk of a carrot for being so cooperative, leading her out of the pasture to her stall and letting her enjoy her fresh bedding. She then returned to the rather daunting task of getting the rest of the mares in, but she eventually accomplished it. Now came the real job - getting the stallions.

Avery Johns skidded into the stable, waking the dozing Esme. "Sorry, babygirl," she sighed, filling her feed into the bucket at about the speed of light. She was out of the stall and down the aisle in no time, refreshing everyone's feed and water with the correct amount, still making sure she followed up with the tedious task of measuring out feed.
Then, she took all of the mares out of their stall, tapping Eruanna's nose when she decided it was a nice time to nip Avery's arm. She refreshed the bedding, making sure it wouldn't be easily shuffled around to make a bare spot in the bedding, and took each mare to the crossties, grooming them with a quick curry and a hoof pick. That was all they needed today anyway, since unfortunately, she couldn't exercise them.
She let them all out into the pasture, blowing them each a kiss, and then she was in her car, headed out of Glen Oak.

Avery had returned from her day-long trip, and had received news that Eruanna and Esme were in foal. She was absolutely enthralled, and looking forward to it, approaching Esme and patting her nose. Esme was in foal by Fell, and she knew the foal would be well-mannered and beautiful. She was hoping for a filly, and stroked the mare's neck, checking that her condition was well. She was doing just fine, so she moved on to Eruanna, who still seemed frisky as ever. She was in foal by Flint, and from these two, she expected a crazy, strong foal, hopefully a colt. She congratulated both of the mares, and fed them each five pounds of their new Fertility Plus feed. She really hoped it'd help them with foaling. The feed would take place of their usual concentrates until the foal was born.

Avery Johns yawned as she entered the door of the stable, stumbling in and attempting to get her eyes to adjust. She had been napping when a call had startled her out of her sleep, fumbling with the phone as she'd held it to her ear and received news that three more of her mares were in foal. Of course, the news had caused her to be delighted, but it required her to come out late and check the mares out, and give them what they needed. She greeted Vanya, Raina, and Beriana, the three mothers-to-be, and fed them each 4.8 lbs. of Fertility Plus, which would take the place of their concentrates. Checking on the rest of the horses, and ensuring everything was in order, she said goodnight and wandered back to her house.

Avery Johns entered the stable, eyes wide with anticipation to visit all of her mares - all of whom were in foal by some of her best stallions. She was expecting an absolutely amazing foal crop, knowing that taking care of these five mares was definitely going to be a task, but not a tedious one. She first greeted Esme, and the mare yawned, not bothering to try to pull away from the halter Avery slipped across her head. She led her outside of the stall, refreshing her feed, water, and bedding carefully. She kept some of the old bedding, as always, to pad about a foot up the stall walls. She let Esme back into her stall, and did the same all the way down, waving to the mares. She'd be back, but the stallions needed care too.

Avery Johns entered the mare barn again, and poor Eruanna basically offered herself to go for a ride - she was the only one with her head over the door, chomping on a piece of hay. "How about a ride, girl?" Avery grinned, hooking a halter over her head, which caused Eruanna to toss her head a bit angrily. Avery ignored it, bringing her to the crossties and giving her a very thorough grooming, before tacking her up, leading her to the practice arenas.

Avery led Eruanna back into the crossties, rolling her eyes as she whinnied to the other mares, as if she was desperate for escape. She allowed her a drink of some water, but not too much, and removed her tack. She gave her another thorough grooming, really working on picking out the back feet, and let the mare return to her comfortable stall. She left for now, but she'd be back later.

Avery entered the busy mare barn, which was visited quite a bit more frequently these days, considering she had five mares in foal, and she had recently acquired five more Morgans for her breeding program. She was ecstatic at how it was growing, though it took so much money and care. All in the business of owning horses, she thought as she set to the task of refreshing every mares' feed, water, and bedding, giving a bit more cushion to the mares in foal. She then walked each mare twice up and down the stable driveway before letting them back into their warm stalls. She kissed each horse on the muzzle, giggling as Dimenticare nuzzled her in return. Waving to them, she headed back home.

Avery Johns entered the barn, not quite as cold as she usually was, thanks to the warmer winter clothing she'd purchased at Chaps Couture last night. She had layered up too, since riding was way too dangerous again today, with a quarter inch of ice under two inches of snow. She wasn't going to chance anything with her beautiful horses, so she simply got to feeding, watering, and replacing bedding in each of their stalls.
Then, she led each mare to the crossties, giving them a thorough grooming until all of their coats were glistening, and their manes and tails flowing when they walked. She was going to spend a bit more time pampering them today, since there was no riding. She also gave each of them a peppermint and did some horsemanship techniques with them - what she could in the barn, doing the test technique to see what areas were sensitive to them, and trying to get them more used to her hands being there.
Eventually, she reluctantly let each of the mares back into their stalls. She'd had a good time, but the stallions needed care.

Avery entered the stable, yawning widely. She was tired today - a lot of work to do lately - but she knew that seeing her beautiful horses would help her feel better. She greeted all of the mares, checking on the ones who were in-foal, glad to find that they were completely healthy and doing just fine.
She refreshed their feed, water, and bedding, giving each a thorough grooming in the crossties until their coats were shining and their manes were bobbing with each step. She had spent some extra special time putting bows in each mare's mane, just to make them look nice. She then let them out to the pasture, so everyone could admire them if they drove by.

Avery Johns entered the mare barn. She was a bit busy today, and had acquired a new work program mare, who needed a lot of attention right now. She greeted her mares, examining those who were in foal. Once she finished, she refreshed their feed, water, and bedding, giving each of them a quick grooming. They were still pretty clean from yesterday, since they'd only been in the pasture. She was considering buying blankets later for her horses, to keep them warm when in the stable and outside, but right now, she had a lot of other horses to care for. She sprinted out.

Avery entered the mare barn, yawning. She'd just woken up, and by the way some of her horses were staring at her, it seemed they had too. It had gotten to -4 degrees last night, so she was being sympathetic, since it was only about 30 out now. She quickly fed, watered, and groomed all of her horses, also replacing their bedding, and left it at that. She didn't bother them anymore - it was the work program horses that were going to have to do work.

Slumping into the stable, Avery sighed, rubbing her eyes tiredly. The day had been fairly stressful, and she hadn't been able to visit the stable for a good while now, which had been dragging her down even more. Her horses were a bit like medicine - they helped to keep her well.
She greeted the mares, grimacing as she noticed a cut on Esme's fetlock, which would be fine after she gauzed and wrapped it. It wasn't too horrible, so she settled herself in to the usual schedule of feeding and watering all of the horses, replacing their bedding. Each of them received at least two carrots each, and a grooming that was way too long for any of them to enjoy all that much, it was mainly for her benefit.
Eventually, she decided the pasture was fine for today. Her work program horses needed the true exercise of training, not these guys (or girls, she should say). She blew them each a kiss, exiting the stable with a yawn.

Avery was practically skipping as she entered the stable, feeling rather giddy these days. The christmas spirit had definitely settled in, mainly thanks to her friends, who were always able to brighten her day a little bit.
She fed all of the mares, refreshed their water, and replaced their bedding. All of them would be let out to the pasture today to stretch their legs, though it was extremely cold out there - she should probably buy some blankets for the night. That thought was brushed aside, however, as she still had plenty of other horses to attend to.

Avery entered the mare barn, giving each of them one of their brand new stable blankets for the night. Hopefully, it'd help them to feel better during the freezing night. She blew them each a kiss, heading to the stallions.

Avery stiffly wandered into the barn, and greeted her beautiful mares. It was literally -4 outside, so she was shivering as she entered the barn, closing the stable door behind her. She didn't want to particularly let more cold air in, and the mares probably didn't mind the extra warmth either. There was no way Avery was risking the chance of letting them out to the pasture today, the snow was hard, and it was like Antarctica out there (hey, mild exaggeration never hurt anybody).
Kissing Esme's muzzle, she got to work on feeding and watering the mare, and refreshing her bedding. Every mare, of course, received the same, and a long, comfortable grooming. She paid special attention to their hooves, making sure they were picked out extremely well, with all the time they'd been spending in the pasture. She didn't want any snow packs on their hooves, or just small obstructions, like they always seemed to pick up.
Finally, all of the mares seemed settled in, a few of them letting their long eyelashes fall over their huge brown eyes, as they settled down for a nap. Avery sighed, contended, but left after a few minutes. She still had stallions to take care of.
