Dallas lost both of his parents in a barn fire. they were trying to save all 30+ of their horses, and as they were rescuing the last few the barn collapsed. the horses took off but his parents were buried under the rubble. he was left all the horses in the will but was forced to sell almost all of them off to pay for himself, repairs, and the remaining horses.

Every day. That's how often I think about them. It's hard not to, really; I never go a chance to say goodbye. Maybe if I had been there I could have saved them. Maybe then I would be home, exercising our horses rather then sitting here at Glen Oak. I'm willing to give this place a chance but so far I've met no one and been no where. I'm lonelier now then I have ever been.
Flicking hip iPod, it starts playing the song that had been on last. Come Home by OneRepublic. How appropriate. Rolling his eyes he clicks the next button and leans back against the head board of the bed he for now must call his, sighing discontently
