Born in Springston, Georgia. She grew up with her two older siblings in a large farm house located on over 150 acres. At the age of three riley was beginning to become "one of the boys." She loved playing outside running in the hay fields and being around the animals. She especially liked riding her pony with her mother. She began competing in small local horse shows with the pony in lead line.
At the age of 10,Riley's mother was killed in a bad car accident causing everything to turn upside down on her. She lost intrest in her pony and competitions. She helped her dad keep the farm running but wanted nothing much to do with it. When she'd lost her mother she lost part of herself. Her father continued to train and sell horses for jumping and tried to get riley back into riding. He decided when she was 12 he would send her to live with her aunt.
When she arrived in kentucky she admired the farm it was huge. Bigger than the one back home. She began to slowly get back into horses living on the active racing farm. She loved the thoroughbreds and also began taking lessons at a nearby farm on a pony named oreo.
At 15, she began working for her aunt deciding to stay instead of go home. Her father had her siblings to help him. She began to excercise the thoroughbreds being naturally drawn to the surge of energy. She still continued to take jumper lessons at the stable but slowly became more intrested in racing.
At 16, she applied for her jockey liscense and passed. She began racing under her aunts colors on a dapple grey named Never to Late. He was only a two year old. She raced him to 4 wins and 3 places. She raced a few different horses for her aunt until at 17 she took a nasty fall from never to late. He bowed a tendon and she broke her collar bone. A few months into the rehab her aunt found out never to late would never race again she gave her to riley as a present hoping she could make something of the high strung gelding.
Shortly after rehabbing she decided to leave her aunts place and strike out on her own she took slew with her and found her way to glen oak, KY. a nice quiet town kind of what she'd grown up in.

Riley walked through the house a floor board creaking as she stepped on it. It felt nice to be home for the weekend she hadn't seen her father in over five years. Nothing had changed since she'd left. It was the same as when she remembered it. She began pacing the floor until she heard the distant purr of the tractor. Her father was coming in from the fields he'd been expecting her early tomorrow but she'd arrived a day early. She walked out of the front door and onto the porch watching in the dim light as the tractor pulled into the barn. She watched as her father walked from the barn and a smile brightened her face. He'd aged since the last time she'd seen him but he still looked familiar. She stood there rooted to the spot watching as he walked up.
