So, I know the site makeover wasn't exactly appealing to you all, and that I understand. It does, perhaps, get a bit boring at times, the basic dark color scheme and the rather depressing theme of the top header. It's even more boring if you're like me, having been here from the start of the new Glen Oak game, and having seen the changes it has gone through.

Therefore, I've been searching through some themes on other sites, for some inspiration. I was considering these things ;;
question a :: would you like glen oak to have a new site name? if voting yes, please post a suggestion. I was thinking something simple, not three words long, like HORIZON, BLISS, WONDERLAND, or SOLITUDE. a two word one I was considering is THE DESCENT.
question b :: I was thinking of giving the site a much classier, lighter theme, instead of making it seem like the most depressing roleplay you're ever going to visit.
I don't have a particular example, but this is a bit like what it'd look like. Perhaps not quite as 'girly', if you will, because we want the site to appeal to everyone. imagine it, perhaps, without the large pink heart? It will not be exactly like this, so please don't worry, it'll still have some of the darker, more mysterious theme to it. it'll just be a bit brighter, not so dark and blah looking. perhaps a bit more of a vintage, city scape theme.

No, the color scheme would NOT be pink (since the lovely Holly brought this up). Mainly because I despise that color, and it just really wouldn't fit with the theme I'd be going for. It'd probably be blues.

I just thought that the site might deserve a bit of a makeover. please note that if you all vote yes and the site receives this, it's going to be the new site theme for a good while. I haven't been counting, but we've gone through at least 3 forum themes in the past not-too-long.

Mm.. the layout change would be all right, I like this layout, and pink isn't exactly my favourite colour ever, but I'm sure whatever you do will look great, it always does anyways. xD However, if you were going to go to a name like Solitude or The Descent, you'd have to find some way to make the pink look umm.. [ looking for the right word ] lonely ? Yeah.. I'm not too crazy about Bliss and Wonderland but I like the other names. xD

Holly darling, please read what I said. It wouldn't be pink.
I said, I'd change it, it would just have that sort of vintage, classier theme, it wouldn't be exactly the same as that.
I despise pink, and it wouldn't fit with the theme I'm going for. It'd probably be lighter blues.

Anyway, thank you very much for voting. I like Horizon the most, or Solitude, so no worries about 'the descent' or 'bliss'.

I think that people should be more active, that may help a little. {yeah, right} Anyways, what if we had a mystery to solve? And the person gets access to this place, like a cave or something, and can bring other people there. I think that might make it a little more interesting{yes I am the wierdest person you will ever met}

Actually, I completely agree, and I really like your ideas. It's a bit hard to just make your members more active, life is busy around this time, even for me and I should be on a lot, because of being the admin. I have been attempting to recruit more members, but not a lot, it's not something I have tons of time for.

The site just maybe is going to have a tiny bit of a low point here, which is understandable. But I love your ideas.
