This is quite a topic for Horizon, and I seriously would appreciate your input on this poll/announcement, after you've voted.
The main question?
Do you believe Horizon should be moved off of Proboards and to an invisionfree forum?
Allow me to elaborate before you vote No.
Pros and Cons of an invisionfree forum
First of all, a con, it'd take me a while to move this entire forum, with all of the changes I originally intended to make to this forum here on Proboards. Of course, this Horizon would be open the entire time I would be re-creating it on invisionfree, so it truly wouldn't mess with your roleplaying on here at all. I wouldn't mind either - in fact, I'd like the ability to take a long while to create the forum over again. Think of the possibilities here. Which leads to -- >>
A good thing - which would be the ability to take quite a while to work on it and come up with what I'd like the site to really be made up of. The site staff would have plenty of time to plot it all out and plan it, I'd have plenty of time to create the graphics for it and set the forum up, and it'd be just as I want it, instead of having to take the time to edit everything on here and try to do it quickly because there's people on the forum already using it.
Third, invisionfree forums are just a bit more advanced, and have some nicer features over Proboards. Not that Proboards is bad at all, it's quite nice and I, of course, like it. Invisionfree just has some extra appealing options to it, and looks a bit more professional.
A small flaw with moving Horizon would be learning about the new invisionfree forums. They use different coding for their forums, which we'd all have to get used to IF you haven't used them before, including me for coding the new forum and setting it up, graphics and all, as I have only used them once or twice for a small duration of time. Once again, though, we'd have basically unlimited time to learn about invisionfree and plan it out, so I'd soon learn what I need to learn and get to work on it without too much trouble.
I'm not going to say if this is a pro or con, considering it's my opinion, but I just think you'd all enjoy invisionfree forums more. True, it'd take some getting used to, but it's not like some foreign world to you. Forums are forums, and invisionfree isn't too different, if you haven't used them before. If you have, well look at that, you're all ready.
And, I'm going to stop there.
Post your comments, opinions, suggestions, crazy mindless rants, everything.
I would seriously appreciate them regarding this topic.
&& thank you,
